Scrum Master Certified (SMC®) professionals have a practical, working knowledge of Agile Scrum that equips them to implement and work in a Scrum environment. The exam aims to confirm the applicants have achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply Scrum in the projects and to tailor Scrum to a particular scenario.
OVERVIEW
- SMC® professionals are facilitators who ensure that the Scrum Team is provided with an environment conducive to completing the project successfully. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project, clears impediments for the team, and ensures that Scrum processes are followed.
- SCRUMstudy™ will award successful candidates the Scrum Master Certified (SMC®) certification after passing the certification exam.
- The aim of the SMC® course is to:
• Provide an understanding of the principles in the Scrum framework
• Provide a practical working knowledge of Scrum including roles, meetings, and artifacts.
• Prepare participants to be comfortable with implementing Scrum in their organizations.
• Prepare participants to take the SMC® exam upon completion of the course.

RECOMMENDED FOR
- This certification is appropriate for anyone interested in working as a Scrum Master or someone already a Scrum Master in his organization.
- Scrum Master is an important role in any Scrum team and need not be a technology expert to be effective. Moreover, although Scrum is popular in IT, it can be used effectively across different industries.
- The SBOK® Guide, on which the SMC course is based, can be used as an effective guide for implementation.

There is no formal prerequisite for this course.
